One of four colleges in the Burlington area, Burlington College is the smallest, with an undergraduate population under 250, a number it boasts proudly as Burlington College is dedicated to individualized learning and academic freedom. Burlington College was founded in 1972 and purchased the land and campus it now occupies in 2011. From their historic 130 year old campus building, glimpse the magnificent views of the ancient Adirondack Mountains in up-state New York as well as Burlington College’s own 32 acres of beautifully landscaped fields, wooded area, as well as their beach along Lake Champlain – making Burlington College one of the only colleges in the country with its very own beach! Burlington College has a marvelous campus only a short drive or bike ride from the downtown core – a wonderful venue for an afternoon stroll.
